For almost three decades William Taylor has leveraged his executive skills to mentor and develop district and school leaders and teachers to improve overall climate, culture, and student performance and growth.

William serves as program director of the three-year CSL Initiative for Leveraging Innovation in collaboration with the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools and the KIPP Charter Network Consortium. The program’s goals include providing certification and advanced degree pathways for a diverse cadre of teacher leaders and nontraditional school leadership candidates to serve in systematically underserved schools.

Previously, William was a Principal, Assistant Principal, Regional Instructional Leadership Coach, and teacher in the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district. Through all these roles, he has positively affected instructional change while appreciating the real-time struggles of leaders—and influenced the development of effective teachers and leaders.
