Through almost three decades working in public education, Virginia has demonstrated her ability to start successful schools, inspire staff, motivate students, build relationships with parents, and maintain alliances with community and business leaders to help schools survive and thrive.

While always focusing on the goal of improving students’ academic achievement, Virginia has turned around schools in challenging environments and established in-district partnerships with charter and traditional public schools. In her work she has deployed expertise ranging from facility acquisition and application processes to curriculum development and staff selection, marketing, and public relations.

A U.S. Army veteran, Virginia’s strategic tool kit also includes data analysis, conflict resolution, project planning and assessment, and budgeting.
