Dr. Loriann M. Bell has more than 30 years of service to communities situated in poverty, where she provided curricular oversight, instructional coaching and led school improvement efforts at the building and district levels. At the CSL Initiative for School Transformation she partners with districts in their improvement efforts, ensuring alignment of professional learning, coaching, performance-based compensation
and career development.
Loriann excels in team leadership, data analysis, and creating systems and structures to support academic success. The hallmarks of her leadership style include a strong work ethic and the ability to follow as well as collaborate and lead.
In previous roles, Loriann has strengthened organizational performance by selecting tools to support student academic achievement—including literacy and social studies curricula—while providing structures for teachers and leaders to strengthen their professional capacity to leverage those curricula through improved pedagogy. She also developed or restructured operational and academic systems to support student learning, while facilitating vertical collaboration to support district improvement.
